how to delete etsy account

Question

how to delete etsy account

Hello, I am a new seller on Etsy and I have a question about deleting my Etsy account.

I opened my Etsy account a few months ago and I wanted to sell some of my handmade products on the platform.

However, I found out that selling on Etsy is not suitable for me. I don’t have enough time, resources, or skills to run a successful online shop.

I also don’t enjoy the process of creating, listing, and shipping products. I want to delete my Etsy account and stop selling on Etsy.

I don’t know how to delete my Etsy account and what are the things I need to do before deleting it.

I have some orders that I need to cancel and refund, and I also have some fees that I need to pay.

I don’t want to lose my account information or my customer reviews, but I also don’t want to keep receiving emails or notifications from Etsy.

How can I delete my Etsy account and end my relationship with Etsy? What are the steps I need to follow and what are the consequences of deleting my account?

Thank you for your help.

Hi, I’m sorry to hear that you want to delete your Etsy account. I have been selling on Etsy for over 8 years and I love it. However, I understand that selling on Etsy is not for everyone. If you are sure that you want to delete your Etsy account, here are the things you need to do:

First, you need to cancel and refund any pending orders that you have. You can do this by going to your Shop Manager, selecting Orders & Shipping, and clicking on the order that you want to cancel. You can then choose Issue a refund and select the reason for the cancellation. You can also send a message to your buyer to explain why you are canceling the order and apologize for any inconvenience.

Second, you need to pay any outstanding fees that you owe to Etsy. You can do this by going to your Shop Manager, selecting Finances, and clicking on Payment account. You can then see your current balance and make a payment using your credit card or PayPal account.

Third, you need to request the deletion of your data from Etsy. You can do this by going to your Account settings, selecting Privacy, and clicking on Request deletion of your data under Permanently close and delete your Etsy account. You will then receive an email from Etsy with instructions for completing your deletion request.

Fourth, you need to wait for the confirmation email from Etsy that your account has been deleted. This may take up to 30 days, depending on your account activity and legal obligations. Once you receive the confirmation email, your account will be permanently closed and deleted, and you will no longer be able to access it.

The consequences of deleting your Etsy account are that you will lose all your account information, such as your username, email address, password, shop name, shop policies, listings, orders, reviews, messages, favorites, and followers.

You will also lose the ability to open a new account with the same email address or shop name. You will also not be able to contact Etsy support or use the Etsy forums or teams. I hope this helps and I wish you all the best.

Hi, I know you want to delete your Etsy account. I have been selling on Etsy for 6 years and I love it. If you're sure you want to delete your Etsy account, here's what you need to do:

You need to cancel and refund all pending orders. You can do this by going to the Shop Manager, selecting "Orders & Shipments," and clicking on the order you want to cancel. You'll need to pay any fees you owe Etsy. You can do this by going to Shop Manager, selecting Finances, and then clicking on Payment Accounts. You will then be able to see your current balance and pay using your credit card or PayPal account.

You will need to request that your data be deleted from Etsy. You can do this by going to "Account Settings", selecting "Privacy", and then clicking "Request Deletion of Your Data" under "Permanently Close and Delete Your Etsy Account". You will then receive an email from Etsy with instructions for completing the deletion request.
